Criteria for funding project Contracts are ranked to prioritize landowners whose overall conservation activities have the greatest environmental benefit. The adjusted gross income of the landowners should be not be more than $1 million per year.

Description of ProgramLandowner must agree to adopt new practices and maintain and improve existing conservation activities to address priority resources of concern identified for his area or watershed.
When are landowner applications accepted?Applications for 2016 and applications for 2017 renewals are currently being evaluated. NRCS accepts CSP applications throughout the year. Contact your local USDA service center to apply 2017 CSP funding. Please see website for all NRCS program deadlines:
Match Required? A person or legal entity may have more than one CSP contract but, for all CSP contracts combined, may not receive more than $40,000 in any year or more than $200,000 during any five-year period.
